Looking good and being good are two very different things.
Yup, first thing I would do is change both rear brake hoses, and also flush the lines really good....Blast some air and brake cleaner down the line going to the rear.....loose on both ends and so plenty of flow....
If the rubber lines connecting steel lines to calipers are old, they NEED to be replaced. They go bad internally and get gunked up inside. You can apply the brakes; but they will hold some residual pressure when you release the pedal. That drag will quickly heat up the brake...then the wheel... then the tire bead melts... then your rear end is throwing craps on the road.
Or, if you are really unlucky, the brake catches fire and burns up the entire car.
If you don't think so, just leave it like it is for a couple weeks.....
