Relative Worth?
Hi, Im new. Own one vette, but also looking at another. Can any of the gurus tell me if this sounds like a deal? A 68 sport coupe, with the T-tops, has been restored quite well, except the color of the paint is a different shade. The vette has a 427 Turbo-jet. Now, Im told that the vette is indeed an original big block car, but that the 427 that's IN the car is actually from a 69. The car is very clean, a manual...New tires wheels, paint, Ts are perfect. The car looks great, but is it worth 17,500.00? Any help, would be great!

IF (and thats a big "if") it's a BB car, that's probably at the upper end for a non-matching car. Unless you're an expert at telling the differences, have someone in your area that is qualified look at it before you take the plunge. First post eh? Welcome.

There are lots of variables in trying to determine a vehicle's value and alot of people here lowball their estimate. The problem here is the NOM. If it had the original motor and everthing else from the frame up was in good condition it might be worth the $17,500.00. Offer $15,000 and go from there.
