After waiting 4 months for the side pipes (the headers came right away) I'm having a little trouble slipping the side pipes onto the collectors. I do not want to mess up the chrome, so I've been gentile with it.
Is there some special way to slip the pipes on. Its a very close fit.
Get a big can of anti-seize!! Liberally coat the ID of the sidepipe. They should be tight so you don't have a big leak. The anti-seize will give you a little lube. With the added benefit of being able to remove the pipes later without a fight. There is also a pinch bolt- remove that and drive a small wedge in to spread to end of the pipe a little bit.

Sounds perfect. Wish I would have thought of that (WD-40 did not work)
