1971 454 q?
hi there guys! ok, does a 71 ls5 454 come with painted valve covers or chrome? do they have drippers or not? and also is it a twist in filler cap or a push in? and last, does the driver side have the slant for the power brakes like earlier models? give me your thoughts guys..thanks troy

70 454 valve covers were flash chrome plated.
Some early 71 454 cars have been seen with flash chrome covers but the majority were painted engine orange.
72 454 valve covers were painted engine orange.
They all have 'drippers', so the spot welds were typically noticeable.
A chrome plated 71 valve cover would have the chrome plated twist in cap carried over from 70. The painted valve covers would have a rubber push in cap.
The left cover, both chrome plated and painted, have the angle cut for brake booster clearance.
