Default diff oil

I have a rebuilt diff. Car will not be running for around 1 more year. Frame off.

Should I put oil in it.

It gets moved around 15 feet once a week at least.

i would. It will prevent surface rust forming and keep the bearings and discs clean as well as keep the seals from drying out.

My new rebuild came dry but it was still oilly coated inside.

If the posi is pre lubed just add a qt and shake it around. Then when the time comes add the posi lube and top off to the correct level.

Excellent time to install a drain plug.
