1981 mods

Have 1981 4 spd w/ orig block, aftermarket heads, GM alum intake and Weber 4bbl carb. Car runs strong, no codes observed when started or driven. No cat, straight pipes to mufflers. Opinions on replacing Weber with Quadjet and going back to stock pipes with cat. I do not live in a state with emission testing.

If you have a Weber, and no codes, the ECM has been disabled,

Runs good, no emissions testing... what's the thought behind changing it back?
