Dropping little bombs like this is not a good thing to do. You need to back your post up with some details.

For what it is worth, and just to be clear where I stand...
Gary Ramadei (GTR1999) rebuilt my differential and trailing arms several years ago. His communication and the work performed were exceptional. He only uses top quality replacement parts and does what he says he will do.

This post reminded me that I need my steering box rebuilt also. When I pull it off the car, I'll be shipping it to Gary Ramadei for a rebuild. You get what you pay for!

Just as on observation: dropping in and making mysterious claims without giving any reasons is anything other than being polite.

Gary built my Super 10 and my steering box and did an absolutely fantastic job.

Just to put this to rest... jim2527 PM'd me today.
From what I understand of the PMs he sent this is more of a personal thing for him against Gary. My understanding is that he has never hired Gary to do any work and he didn't provide any negative example of a service performed or work related issue regarding Gary. End of story.

Jim was polite enough to send me a couple of PMs also.
I gave him some background on Gary and why he posts over in DC and not here anymore.
It seems that Jim did not like Gary's comments about other vendors.
I pointed out what I knew about the background story there.
Gary is a no nonsense guy. Nothing he has said was not true.
And his work speaks for itself as myself and others have testified to.
Enough said on my end.

Hope the OP finds the solution to his problem.

Excuse the sidetrack that his thread took.

Peace
Dennis

Sorry that you think your pm was shared.

I just tried to clarify for the OP that Gary's work is top notch....THAT was the point of this thread is it not?

I'm done with this thread.

Good luck to OP.

I have to admit that I'm really finding your passive-aggressive posts and PMs to be boorish. Are you trying to be a Troll?

You're the one that was unable to man-up and provide clarification as to what your original post-bomb was implying. When you originally PM'd me I responded by telling you clarification was needed.

It is just plain wrong to allude that Gary has done poor or substandard work for anyone when he hasn't. If you have a personal issue with the man, fine. Put it out there so others can make their own assessment. Just stop playing games.

I didn't share your PM's as a courtesy, even though nobody is bound by some agreement or code not to share PM's. I had just simply made an effort to shed some light on the post-bomb you left and refused to clarify.

Well, my courtesy to you stops now. Here are all of jim2527's PM's and my responses for everyone to see and make their own determination (I also must apologize in advance for my unworthy cut-n-paste skills.):

Gary

Well,

As I said I'll be polite so I'm not going to say anything out in the open that I haven't already said.

Gary has made disparaging comments about this forum and its members as a whole. People trying to earn a dollar should remain 'neutral'.

I know the entire history of Gary's relationship with this forum so yes, I understand his perspective.

Brass Pass Reply:

I don't know what you've already said in past posts and I don't care to research, but you should add what you just said in your PM to your post:

"Gary has made disparaging comments about this forum and its members as a whole. People trying to earn a dollar should remain 'neutral'."

Clarification of what you mean by your statement would be good. Taken in the context of the OPs original question your post leads one to think that Gary's work is no good. When in reality it seems to be more of a personal thing between the two of you.

I've been around awhile also, and know that Gary stopped posting on the Corvette Forum due to certain individuals. But to throw shade on the work that he does without any kind of substantiation is wrong.
Unless of course, you can substantiate some problems with work he has done for you personally. If this is the case, then post up. Everyone needs to know.

Re: Gary

Let me clarify and say I've never made a single comment about Gary previous to this one.

If Gary wants to earn business he should come around and post....I'm sure he's allowed to. Many other members who make money and even earn a living frequently post without being a 'supporting vendor'.

Brass Pass Reply:

That is pretty weak reasoning for posting a comment that in the context of the OPs post alludes to Gary doing bad work.

If you're upset for some personal reason that Gary doesn't post in CF anymore edit your post to provide clarification.

Re: Gary

Gary doesn't like this forum or its members. I think that's a horrible attitude for anyone to have thats trying to earn business. If he wants to earn business he needs to let as much of the past drama as is reasonable and more on. I'd rather not do business with someone like that. My money, my decision.

I'm out...

Re: Gary

Really? Sharing 'private messages'?

I typed out a nice long response and decided to click 'submit' Here it is....

Quote:
I went back to re-read Garys posts to make sure my comment and private messages weren't out of line. And no, they weren't. IMHO Gary has a very poor attitude. Constantly taking shots at forum members and other vendors. Not professional.

When I was in the service industry I learned a 'professional', if providing a quality product, could sell that product on its own merits. There would never be a need to mention a competitor, or mention the quality of competitors work.

I have this sales rep who's trying to sell me a $175,000 piece of equipment, he's been a rep of ours for as long as I've been at this job, 11 years. He gives us his pitch, realizes we may be leaning towards a competitor then bad mouths the competitor. Sorry, unprofessional.
