Default If $$$ was NO issue which engine combo??

If $$$ were NO issue which engine combo would you use?

I am amazed that the crate engine websites don't list weights.
Just found out that a 572 tall block tops the scale at 740#'s
whereas an LS 427 is only 510#'s

That is a 230# difference which would greatly affect handling!

As far as street ability and the cool factor, I would think that a polished twin-turbo such as what Nelson Racing Engines from LA sells would be the ticket! Not too much lope and power on demand!

Thoughts, comments. Ideas?

A modern crate LS7. If it can make a new Z06 scream reliably, it would make any c3 fast and reliable. It can also be blown. Ever drive a new ZR1?

An all aluminum big block with cross ram EFI that looks like a vintage ZL1 road race engine.

I would go for a naturally aspirated big inch all aluminum big block. Probably a 4.60" bore X 4.25" stroke.

I would like to find out though.......would be fun.

The current Supercharged Z06 engine/C6ZR1 Supercharged engine as well-650/638 NET HP

or LS7 all aluminum 427 C6Z06 motor like in my 2010 C6Z06 but supercharged. To be perfectly honest, my 10Z06 weighing at 3,100 lbs with 505 NET HP is pretty darn impressive on the street....not sure I need much more but there are lots of guys with NA LS7 Z06's with relatively minor upgrades making 575-580 NET HP....

Aluminum 427 BBC with twin turbos and EFI.

Lightweight, tons of power, "short" stroke, and looks at home in an old Corvette.
