When Painting
My car is a 72, but I really like a couple of the 69 colors. Just wondering if it voliates any unwritten laws to use a color from a different year?
Of course, WBY is still at the top of my list. :)

I don't think so. Mine was WBY (yuck :U sorry don't like that color) but when I bought it, it was purple (not ever a real vette color). I think it's going to end up Millenium Yellow so I'll be a rebel with you...

It was originally green and painted white in 1994. Lots of fine scratches in the white. :rolleyes:

Paint the car the color that you like the best if you are not going for NCRS standards. Personally I think Elkhart Green is a beautiful color. WBY would be at the top of my 69color list. It`s awesome. But I may not be a good judge. I love my Laguna gray 70. But several people told me they thought it was a boring and drab color. Song lyric " you can`t please everyone, so you got to please yourself"

I painted Mine Viper Red and I really like it. Just go with what you like and enjoy.

If you have a matching numbers NCRS show car and you want to keep it that way, or if that is your eventual goal... then paint it the original color.
Otherwise, paint it any color that tickles your fancy. :cheers:
