I agree with the majority here due to the high price he's willing to pay. rrent has especially good advice about finding a replacement before you sell, since he's not going anywhere. I would, however, make sure he has the green before I wasted any of my time...
The guy's offering top dollar for your car and you're obviously interested in selling it. If you weren't you wouldn't have surveyed the forum regarding your decision. I say go for it.
I'm with the majority, Sell. I'd look around to see if the 14-15K will get you what you want to replace it with. The guy who sold me mine has been hinting about buying it back after I fixed all the annoying problems(2-3K plus labor). You can bet it'll cost him $$$ to get it back
For that money, SELL!! :yesnod: Not that your vette is not nice however, your 75 is not one that is going to demand that kind of money for a long time..
For the money you're talking, and considering he has sentimental value for YOUR car. I'd sell in a heartbeat. In the end it's just a car and you can use that money to find another one you'd be just as happy with. I like the suggestion to find another car before letting yours go.
Had a guy tell me that my ZR-1 was worth $75k at Wasaga this summer, I countered saying if you gave me $50k I'll polish and deliver personally. Take da money.
I told him I wanted between 14 & 15K. He said the car meant a lot to him and would like to have it back.
If I read the original post correctlyyou want 14 to 15k he never offered that, right?
If he is willing to pay that I would jump on it, but then again I'm trying to sell mine :jester
