Hello, I have a 1976 Stingray with automatic transmission that I'm having trouble getting started and I need some help. I bought the car in April this year and it was running. I had to put in new highbeam headlights, but my interior dash lights did not work. I pulled the dash and there was a lot of splicing in the wiring. I replaced the dash wiring harness, the ac harness and the engine harness part #VIG7600A, the neutral safety switch. I had the started tested and it's good, the battery is new and all new fuses. I've changed the valve cover gaskets and the egr valve. Now when I turn the key there is nothing, no power. I used my dads advice and tried old school starting, turned the key and tried to jump it at the starter but still nothing but a bunch of sparks, the engine did not turn over. This is driving me crazy cause I know it has to be something simple. Do I need to replace the front lamp harness as well? Thank you for your time and assistance.

if you tried jumping across the solenoid and got sparks and the starter didnt turn over, you have a starter problem or not enough juice in the battery to start it. Charge the battery, check the connections to the battery and try again. If the solenoid trick still doesnt work, pull the starter and have it tested
You stated you had replaced the engine harness- the black wire at the starter- 12ga with a large ring terminal- did you connect it to the bell housing or??
