A few years ago, I had a page up accessible by all that detailed the installation of a 1969 Windshield. I had planned on reposting one I had a new internet home, but never followed through. I have received a couple of requests for that info recently, so I have converted it to a PDF file - which (I believe) is attached. I found that this looks much clearer in Firefox. I hope it helps!
Hi pws,
Very nice information and photos!
The finished results depend so much on the information learned during the 'dry fit', but so few installers are willing to take the time to do it.
Thanks!
Regards,
Alan

I still have the copies I made a few years back on the install. The PDF is much better and I already downloaded it.

Very well done. When I got my 69 convertible, someone had installed the windshield so far from the frame you could see light between it and the frame. Needless to say it was the first thing I fixed on my baby.
I too, printed out paper copies of your method a few years back. Your post helped me greatly to install 2 different 68 windshields. Still have another 68 and a 72 to do also.
I would hope the moderators would make this a sticky.
So from these instructions, it would appear I might be able to remove the left and right headers as well as the center header on my 1968, without removing the windshield. Is that correct?
Hi n,
I'd never try to remove the two forward mounting screws from the corner header castings with the windshield in place.
Even a TINY nick in the edge of the glass can result in a crack.

Alan
A VERY humble thanks to one who HAS the photos!! Thanks for all of YOUR contributions - truly a tough act to follow!
