My car comes from one of the bays with the new sticker on the windshield, and the mechanic who inspected it, apparently one of the ZZ-Top dudes, says to me: The exhaust is a little too loud, but we're more lenient on toys. (toy: he got that right! :)) If anyone asks, you say you installed the exhaust after the inspection. Very nice car!
The '74 doesn't have to be sniffed or anything, so it's essentially a safety inspection. But theoretically the emission control stuff has to be there, the exhaust must be stock, etc., so they could have given me a hard time because of the chambered exhaust. But they are more lenient on toys... :D
Oiga, Pedro, if you were in Texas, it shoulda only been a safety inspection, anyway. What a cool guy, anyway, not to make you think you had to put a new exhaust on! Inspections are such a rip, the guys with the old stinky trucks seem to always be polluting and no one stops them! Pat
