key lock
1970 standard steering, i can't get the key lock out. I read the instructions on replacement, still stuck. I must be missing something, the out side lock housing is gone! The key turns.
The key alarm slot is clear of the tab that i pushed in, still nothing, should the lock just come straight out?

You have to drill a 3/16" hole thru the zinc casting and push a tab to release the lock cylinder. I don't remember how to do it but Google "Removing An Ignition Lock Cylinder C3 Corvette" and you'll find out exactly where to drill the hole.
