25K on engine, keep existing Rings or not?
Block is bare to fix one cylinder so not sure if I should get new set of rings and have to break in the whole thing again risking a bad break in.
I would need to bead hone all cylinders also to do it. So I'm not sure if rings move around in a circle around the piston or do they stay put once installed. If they stay put then there would be no reason to reuse them since it would be hard to match same location they seated in.
Just need sanity check from you guys.....THX

Cheap insurance. Replace them. Rings pretty much "break in" in the first heat cycle unless they're chrome or other magic.. And they should stay about the same place on the piston as they were installed..
If they rotated, sooner or later all the gaps would stack
