Driveshaft Loops
Anybody running one? I have a Lakewood unit that I bought for another car and never used. I tried putting it on my Vette Saturday and it won't fit under the trans tunnel. Also, I installed a set of Dragvette half-shaft loops. Nice units. Hopefully, I'll never need to test them.

For my driveshaft I just ended up with an aluminum plate flat across the floor to prevent the front of the shaft from dropping to far and whipping around. The back of course doesn't need one. I also had half shaft loops inside and out but removed them with the 6 link.

My h-pipe is right behind the cross-member. I had the same thought. I also wondered the same thing about the rear of the driveshaft.
I thought NHRA mandated a 360 degree loop though?

That won't help you if the driveshaft breaks and decides to come into the interior...
Hey, I wonder if a well-placed H-pipe will serve the same purpose? I will have to take a look under there and see.... MJ
