82 Heater Core?

82 Heater Core?
Since winter is about to arrive in the Pacific NW, I thought I'd have my
heater core fixed. The only problem the mech is telling me is that I
need a "heater actuator motor", can't seem to find this in any ZIP, or
Mid America catalog. GM has discontinued this part. I think he means
the heater box door flapper, that opens and shut. Any ideas would be
helpful

I have no idea what your mechanic is talking about. the doors are operated by vacuum, controlled by your heater control.
The blower motor sits in front of the heater core & AC evaporator.

I think he's got the headlamp actuator and heater core confused...I've not heard of a heater actuator whatever. Now, I do have my heater core assembly in pieces and have taken pics of all components including the heater core cradle, A/C evap core, heater assy box, etc.
