Will a speedometer head from say a 1975 fit the dash of say an 1980. I'm wanting to update mine 85 mph speedometer to a earlier higher mph speedometer. Thanks Larry

Yes, I put a 140 mph 1978 speedometer into my 1982 about 15 years ago.

I'm sorry but won't work in there for you. The speedo face is way larger than the area in the plastic housing that the speedometer bolts to.

So what is involved in putting this faceplate on my 85 mph head. Maybe I need to start inquiring if anyone has a used 140 mph head,

What is involved with putting this face on my head unit. Do I have to disassemble the unit to change the face or will the pointer slide off. Never messed with speedometers much. Thanks Larry
