i was just wondering if anyone has crushed velvet interior in their car ill get some pics up tomorow.my car is 79 and is supposed to have a light beige cloth interior so i just want to check to see if thats what it is or if it is aftermarket.

Oh I hate to admit this but mine had a burgundy/silver velour interior. Definately a custom job, and is now back to near oem. Maybe it's something in the water up here. :cheers:
If the cloth center section of the seats and the upper door panels have a pattern of small circles or squares about 1/3" in diameter, then it's the OEM interior for 1979.
...and it is no longer produced by anyone, anywhere.
There's a teenager in our neighborhood who recently bought a '76 with a crushed velvet interior. And EVERYTHING is covered in beige crushed velvet with dark brown piping & buttons: seats, door panels, dashboard!
We need to keep a few of these examples well-preserved to remind folks what the '70s were really like (I was there...) :bb
