Hi VG,
The first thing to be aware of is that the dash harness has the fuse box as part of it.
This means the the 71 Engine Harness and Forward Lighting Harness both have to have the same wire layout as the 75 dash harness since they 'plug' into the fuse box through an opening in the firewall.
I'd think the likelihood of that being so…. is very slim!
I understand why you might want to make this happen since dash harnesses are so expensive.
