Default Getting ambitious already, need advice

As I was hunting for a wiring fault behind my dash, i realized that there have been many repairs in the wiring, lots of splices,, all kinds of taped-up stuff, some really questionable bulb sockets, etc. Now i am considering replacing the entire dash wiring harness on my '75.
They are readily available, and i'm sure many forum members have replaced them.
Question is, are there any replacements I should avoid, or are the ones available (Eckler's, Corvette Central, etc) all pretty much the same?
Any additional advice or links to threads regarding this how-to would be appreciated.

I don't know which ones to recommend, but after starting to look around on my 78 I realized that ALL of the wiring was in need of repair. I have gone a different route with my project requiring a lot of modifications, but I suggest that once you start, look at the rest of your wires. Once you fix up one spot, it might create an overload somewhere else. I guess what I am trying to say is be prepared to go further. These are old cars and I found a lot of bare, chaffed wires all over the place when I pulled my harnesses out. Good luck.

Save yourself some cash- Check with Willcox and catch one of his weekend sales. Lectric Limited is pretty much the supplier for all the OEM harnesses.

Thanks TimAT, I checked out Lectric Limited and that looks like the play.

Lectric or American Autowire are the go to sources for stock replacement harnesses.

I'll be doing a full new harness when my car is apart.
Both these suppliers look to have top quality wire harnesses and connectors.
One important thing to look for is a quality and complete schematic.
It's your road map to the miles of wire you'll need to route.
Even if you are just doing under the dash.

I've got 2.37 miles of wire under my '80 dash. Everything works (right now) so I'm gunna tie them up high enough so my feet don't disrupt.

I've got a limited electrical license and used to be an electronic technician, I wouldn't be psyched about that wiring job. Good luck.
