Default My late 77 T-Top

As some of you know I have a late production 77 L82 auto.I just got her back from paint ,I started putting the dash panels back in and I'm going to start on the new carpet set next week.I ordered a complete set of weatherstripping and the T-Top,18 pin, set.The pins line up but the 4 screws are about 1 inch to 1 1/2 inch off I'll try and load a pic. Is it because it's a 77 ?Or has someone else have this problem? If I can get a pic. to load I'll get one of the car to.

Hi S77,
Paint looks terrific!!!
Are you pleased?

I'm not familiar with later cars so?

Is there a metal strip the the weatherstripping seats in as there is with earlier roof panels?
Is there any sort of metal reinforcement in the weather-strip itself?
?
Regards,
Alan

Here's the black painted ss weatherstrip 'retainer' on a 71. The strip gets glued into it.

On mine the retainer is part of the weatherstrip it's just the holes for the retainer don't line up early 77 were like you're s and had 19 pins going around the top on mine I have 18 pins .

Paint looks great I'm very pleased with it, I hung the doors today but still have to set the gap. It's my Daughters body shop ,the shop has done 5 custom paint jobs and they all turned out great, happy clients.

Alan did you replace the weatherstrip on you're hood I found the sheet in the AIM but it does not show the orientation of the seal.
