Hello everyone. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with Edelbrock's Torker Intake. My vette currently has Weiand 7546, which is a sinlge plane/open design intake. I thought the Toker, being a lower profile single-plane would develop more power when I use it, idle-4000 RPM. The Weiand website states the 7546's power range as 1500-6000 RPM. Edelborck states the Torker is 2500-6500 RPM.
Another option for good bottom end would be the Edl 2101. Its a dual plane design and its dimentions are same as the stock cast iron intakes. im using the 2101 on my 350. I used it mainly to help retain stock height to aid in retention of the factory cowl induction function. Its listed as good from off idle to 5500rpm.
I understand that a dual plane is better for lower RPM, but I am assuming that the engine was set up for street/strip. I guess a better question would be, what manifolds can I use to get more "daily driver" power with the 303 cam without having a "mis-match" and having no power through out the entire RPM band.
