Fuel gauge problems
Can anyone help with this problem ? My guage works from half to full I changed sending unit guage circuit board resister if I have the sending unit out of the tank and hooked up it works fine from e to f chavked grounds seems fine Thanks

Okay... it sounds to me as if the liner in the fuel tank is hitting the float arm on the sending unit. It's a common issue with the 1978-1982 tanks. What happens is the bladder develops a crack in it, then gas gets behind it and causes interference with the float lever.
About the only way to check this is to either remove the sender and check or to just go head and pull the tank.
New tanks (without bladders are available).
