Street? 049 or 781. If you are staying with flat or dished truck pistons, 215 or equivalent closed chamber heads will get you closer to 9:1. But once you start getting head guy to undo 40 years of seat and guide wear, you are approaching the price of new aftermarket iron heads that are far superior flow-wise.

what are you seeing that I’m not? Hey I like this guy👍. And to answer a few more questions I’m not getting aluminum heads anytime soon. I was just glad to have 781’s...2 bolt main was kinda depressing but arp studs should help. And for 427hotrod that is a good point I will have to look more into drilling for that!

The L88 air cleaner with the filter in the hood.

781 049 by far, no need for studs on that build.
Your exact 2 bolt block in action

Muzzy,
Send your heads to VortecPro, get his Isky hydraulic roller cam kit, run the RPM air gap and 850DP... make an easy 600hp.
The RPM air gap will fit under the L88 hood if you run the LT1/L88 style air cleaner with the 2” drop base and a single gasket under the carb.
Hedman makes a nice set of 2” headers for the C3 and build a nice 3” exhaust.
You’ll have a high 10/low 11 second car.
Trust me.
BTW, do you actually have a Muzzy Raptor 750? I always loved those things. Very rare and unique.

no I don’t and yes they were awesome! I had a Muzzyzx7rr zx7rr, nowhere near the raptor but still a very low production bike.
vortecpro what would you do to my heads and how much😊

That looks great! What heads, cam and piston combo did you use? AFR 265's?

I went with the 290’s. Same cam as Before 258-263 640 lift 109lsa. Pistons are forged wiseco 21cc dome.

You said in your first post that you were located in Utah. What is the elevation there? 11:1 compression should be perfect.

We’re at just barely above 4000 feet where I’m at so should be perfect.
