ive been cleaning up my block and cylinder heads, it’s fun seeing all the years of carbon and grease come off and bare cast become visible. New engines are awesome but for me this is the funnest part anyone else feel the same👍

[QUOTE=dmaxx3500;1596216046]good work, now wash the heck out of them, spray them all over with wd40 and put them in plastic bags till you can work on them[/
They’re going to the machine shop I just thought I’d have some fun😊
Not a good idea to glass bead heads. If they are not thoroughly cleaned the glass bead can take a set of bearings out in an engine in no time. flat. I don't recommend glass beading a head. Any shop with a jet wash system will be able to clean a set of heads.

It was common practice years ago but once failures were linked to glass in the oil many shops stopped doing it. Whoever you take it too will more than likely make you sign something relieving them of any responsibility.
