c3 early or late

The VIN tag will indicate the the sequence number of the car, and the trim tag on the drivers side hinge pillar, will indicate the date (within a day or two) of when the car was assembled in St.Louis.
There were many 'running' changes made during the 68 model year, but no actual "early or late 'edition' ".
The assembly date will HELP identify what particular parts that changed during production would likely have been on this particular car.
An example of this would be the air-flow openings cut in the front lower valance. VERY earl cars didn't have the holes but later cars did.
So have you checked the sequence number and the trim tag assembly date?
Regards,
Alan
Here's an example of a VIN tag found on the driver's side windshield pillar.
You look through the gas to read it.
A Trim Tag.
F14 indicates January 14th.

I've got an early 68 and I've posted all the stuff that was wacky and changed like the seat levers in different threads over the years but cant really think if them right now. They were a bad idea, you have to slide the seats forward to release them to tilt forward
