Default Energy suspension transmission mount

Has anyone installed an Energy suspension transmission mount 3.1108 on a 1979 with manual trans. I noticed that the original mount was shorter in height than the energy suspension mount. Wanted to know if the height difference would cause any issue. thanks in advance

How much shorter? The original mounts will squash some over time.

The energy suspension mount has two parts a metal plat which is .177 thick and then the mount which is 1.79 in. So the overall height with both pieces is around 2 in. The original mount is about 1.73 in

Default Mount

I used that mount on my 70 SS Chevelle. The fan hit the shroud at the top. I put in a new stock transmission mount and the fan is now centered correctly. I have a set of Energy Suspension motor and transmission mounts for sale, cheap. Jerry
