Default 1979 L48 no air, can not figure out exhaust Ignition Shield

I have a 1979 L48 with no air and I can not figure out how to install the exhaust ignition heat shields or if I even have all of them. Does someone have a detailed description or diagram of which exhaust manifolds go where to support the ignition heat shields. I am trying to figure out if I have the correct bolts for the passenger side of the manifold and whether they are in the correct holes, please take a look, not sure about the ones with arrows. Please help.

I assume you are not referring to the boomerang or V-shaped shields that protect the plug wires. The one shown in your photo is used on the passenger side on the back two plugs. There is a squared off shield used on the driver's side and it mounts on the back two plugs as well.

There are a number of support brackets used to mount the shields and it gets crazy. Support brackets attach to the engine using engine/exhaust manifold bolts. You're probably missing the support brackets hex head bolts. I've attached the AIM page for spark plug shields. It's from the 78 AIM and 79 was identical.

Hope this helps!

Quick question is a good idea to wait until I have installed the engine before putting on the exhaust manifolds?
