Does it matter which part is attached to the center link or the steering arm? They seem to fit either way, the taper on the tie rod ends seem the same. Thanks!

I am no expert, so I just made mine look like the instructions - that way it was easier to follow the adjustment procedure in that everything was oriented correctly. Let us know if this doesn’t answer your question and then someone else can chime in with a better response.

Hi v,
I believe that typically the 'left-hand' threaded end of the tie-rod tubes had a 'groove' machined into it.
Typically this end of the tube assembly was located at the outer positions of the steering mechanism.
The Assembly Manual has additional information about positioning the clamps on the left and right side tubes.
