I recently purchased a 1976 vette , the guy I bought it from had it painted but had the holes for the emblems on the fenders and nose filled. I would like to put them back on as close to correct as possibile. If anyone could give me the correct demensions I would appreciate it. I am also wondering if I should move them slightly from those locations so not to create a bigger problem drilling out the filled areas. Thanks for any help.

Welcome To TheForum, Fellow '76er!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wish I could help you with your question, but I cant :nonod: . Somebody here should be able to guide you in the right direction......... :yesnod:
Which emblems? all of em or the sides? the sides would be diffucult if they did it right, but if they just filled it in, reach inside the scoop, and try and find a couple bumps. dirll those out and you have your side spots. take the bumper covers off to find those locations.
ive always like the looks of the flags on the B-Pillars. :yesnod:
you could always remove the little posts on the back of the emblems and use double sided tape if you dont want to drill. i think that tape is good up to 150mph if applied correctly.
I just need to put on the nose and fender emblems. I looked for any thing under the nose and couldn't find any spots that seemed to be filled I will check the fenders today.
Thanks for the advice
Personally, I think the emblems look best in the attic. That's where mine have been for thirty years. Everybody knows it's a Corvette and the emblems only collect dirt and wax. Do yo really want those clunky looking things spoiling the beautiful lines of your car?
