I am not even using a stock spring, its just a matter of interest to me. I like to understand the science / physics of things, and this spring orientation thing has never made sense to me.

I understand. I'm the same way. I never came across anyone as wacky about stuff that way as I am.

I agree. I don't believe the spring orientation makes a bit of difference.
