Regarding my 1980 which I plan on using the stock YJ8 wheels: Upon inspection, I found I only have 2 of the 4 wheels the same. Not going to work for me. There are numerous sources selling chromed YJ8's. Anyone have experiences positive or negative? Best price on 4?
AND you have multiple colored insides of the wheels!
Look in the WTB parts or put a post to buy some, depends where you are located since they are heavy to ship, condition is not always the same. New are available also. Call Willcox, they have weekend sales saving 10-20 percent, but shipping can be a bummer! IMO
LOVE you state of Washington, there last summer and going again this summer before taking cruise of Alaska to Vancouver!! NICE National Parks!!
They all started out with red in the slots (and covered in grease and grime). Yesterday I started cleaning the last one and noticed the huge difference between it and the other 3. I'll check out the WTB section. Yes Washington can be beautiful when the sun is out. The long months of gray, dark, and damp are sometimes hard to take in the winter. Thanks for the reply.
I bought "Factory Reproduction" brand YJ8 aluminum wheels from place in Southern California, and have put 10,000 miles on them. They look great, were at decent price, and I have had no problems with them. I suspect they are the same manufacturer as all the Corvette vendors sell.

I bit the bullet and ordered 4 new chrome YJ8's. (Upon reviewing an online source, it seems the aluminum wheel option is not called YJ8 on a 1980, it's N90.) The new wheels will be here shortly. Once they are here, the ones pictured above will be available.
Hello Hdal. I got them from Corvette World of Houston. $899 for all four wheels, caps, lugs, and shipping included. Just got new BFG's installed on them yesterday.
These wheels and T/A's complete the rolling chassis. Did the slots in the wheels black. (Check out my Nova's Cragar's and T/A's. Same ones that have been on it since 1985) Engine is next..
There were several other Corvette specialty places that had these same wheels for sale. (Mid America is one. Also available on eBay). Corvette World was the best price, which is why I got them there.
