I finally got the 79 running well by doing a static timing on it vise the conventional timing light method. A friend pick it up several day ago, then he called me telling it is hard to start when it is cold.
so I started to think of what can cause it to do that.
I discovered I clocked the #1 cylinder where #2 it's supposed to at the end of the firing order. Repositioned the distributer to #1 like it's should be. The timing mark is showing up where it suppose.
