Default L48 Valve Cover brackets?

Can anyone tell me what these additional brackets (or whatever they are) are used for on L48 valve covers? I tried searching, but I didn't know what key words to use and came up empty.

Here's a picture of what I'm talking about:

A single wire, I think for the temperature sender, attached to the brackets on the driver's side valve cover. There were two "T" shape clips attached to the wire, that snapped into the brackets.

The passenger side cover should have similar brackets. A wire harness, and possibly the vacuum advance hose, attached to the passenger side cover brackets. The harnes might have been for the idle stop solenoid, and it also had two "T" clips attached to it. If I get a chance, I'll look at my Assembly Manual to confirm exactly what wire and harness attached to the brackets.

The passenger side brackets hold the wiring harness for the TCS (Transmission Controlled Solenoid). You can't see it in this photo, but it's under the Smog hoses. The left side VC brackets hold the tan wire for the Anti Diesel Solenoid mounted at the carburetor base. These photos are from my 73 L48 4speed car. You can see the plastic T clips on the driver's side.
I added a third picture to show the TCS and its location.
Hope these help.

Hi Don,
Thanks, as you can see I switched back to the original steel VC's. Not really working on any major winter projects on the car. It's really been too darn cold here to even go outside. I don't have a heated garage. In the 40's this week though! HEATWAVE
Regards,
Jimmy
