Because I don't have the original carb. If I can find one, I'll buy it and put it in the box with the heads and exhaust manifolds. The carb on the car right now is a double pumper with mechanical secondaries but only 600CFM and it leaks. A brand new double pumper with mechanical secondaries and 750 CFM should work well. We'll know in a week's time.
