73 BB Fan Shroud Info
The fan shroud on my 73 BB was beat up and as I'm replacing the radiator I decided to replace the shroud as well. I order a shroud from Ecklers for a 73-75 vette and when it arrived I discovered it did not fit. Evidently the 'early' BB 73's used a different shroud and that is available from ZIP for 69-73E BB vets. So if you have an 'early' manufactured '73 you need to check this carefully. My '73 was built in 11/72. I'm returning the incorrect shroud to Ecklers (at least they did take it back), but were clueless that early manuf. '73's have a different fan shroud then later '73's. ZIP was very helpful and had the right replacement part. Hope this is helpful to other early '73 BB owners.
