I got a stupid question. Should all 4 of my tail lights on my 77 be on with the headlights or just the 2 outside ones? I may be crazy but I swear I've seen 4 round tail lights lit on other vettes?
You still might be crazy but in 68 all 4 were brake lamps,
Then 69 to 82 the inner ones became back up lamps,
Unless modded your 77 would have inner back up lamps,
Many non purists not hung up on original will replace the back up lights with two brake lamps,
Looks better and is safer, chevy went back to it in 84
And the 4 bubble aftermarket tail lights are all 4 brake lights

I myself have done that "Upgrade".total of 4 brake lamps that come on which the running lights and brake light. I put the reverse lights on my license plate bolt holes with some aftermarket LEDS that fit thru there.
I have 4 brake lights on my 80. When driving, it is likely safer. If parked, however, only the backup lights have reflective surfaces. I intend to replace the lenses with backup lenses (still with the 4 brake-light function) to get the best of both worlds.
The tail lights and left turn signal is on in the photo (LED 1157 bulbs in all 4 lights).
