Now that the headers are out can anyone suggest a nice set of aluminum heads for a 69 Corvette 350/350 and maybe roller rockers? As of now I have Edelbrock Intake with performer carb.
Thanks
Hi Joe,
The first thing folks are going to suggest is that if you want the hp benefit that the new carburetor, intake, and heads, make possible, you'll need to add a set of 'real' headers and a performance exhaust.

Alan

Hi Joe,
Sorry, but no.
There are certainly folks here that can offer advice based on experience.
I believe though that they all will say a set of headers and a performance exhaust system will be required.
Have you come to grips with the fact that your 69 style side exhaust will either need to be modified or have to go if you start down the road of making more horsepower?
Regards,
Alan

That cannot really be answered effectively without knowing your goals and what camshaft will you be using? (assume you will keep the factory pistons in place) There are dozens of heads available now and each has their place based on chamber cc and port cc/cfm.
My goals were simply to loose weight and not spend a lot of money. I did not care much about a HP increase other than improve off idle torque. I went with inexpensive factory L98 heads.
If my goals were to improve power above 5000 rpm and work well with 87 octane fuel I would have chosen something completely different.
Look at an edlebrock top end kit . They will guide you on what works well with what and what you can expect from the changes in terms of power and performance
