C3 Tech is more a performance oriented section, with more "how to/ DIY" threads. This is mainly info on repairing, modifying, improving, updating your C3, as well as performance benchmarking etc....
Anything that has to do with PERFORMANCE.
C3 General is just that, basic corvette topics, questions on value, originality, history, restoring, traveling, wax , and NCRS related banter...

The C3 section was only one before and it was mainly tech. At some point people voted to split it into two sections. People were getting tired of the Off Topic stuff in the C3 section, that was always historically technical.

That 305000 is the total number of threads in general and Tech added together over the life of the forum. And generally it is an average of 10 posts per thread so that's about 3 million posts for the 300,000 threads. There's a whole lot of stuff in technical that belongs in general there's a whole lot of stuff in general that belongs in technical but for the most part people sort of figure out which should be where and it reduces the amount of what port cross-section and what camshaft specs do I want in general from where do I hook up these ground wires and where do I find seat covers in performance...
