70 lt-1

Where do i start to fix a speedometer that does not work, cable, speedometer in dash, how do i troubleshoot it.

A 70 LT-!... VERY nice.

Has it worked?
Have you looked to see if the cable is properly connected at the transmission and at the speedometer's case?

Difficult to see and access at the transmission.

Welcome....
If it is connected at the transmission, Try disconnecting it and spin the cable with your fingers (counter clockwise) and have someone observe the speedometer and see if the needle moves at all.
If no movement, then the cable may be bad or the speedo itself.

If you get movement, then look to the transmission gear as a possibility.
