Default Steering Column

Had to rebuild my column and lost the little piece that has the two tabs(?) sticking off of it. Can somebody tell me what they are for or what they do? Thanks

Do you see it in either of these breakdowns? (thank you Willcox for your contribution) Can you draw or sketch what you are looking for?

Highly recommend you check out Mr. Shea’s Steering Papers. They are invaluable.

Two tabs off it?... I've built hundreds of these tilt tele columns but I don't have a clue what item your talking about.

Possibly the horn insulator? Possibly this???

My guess as well. I just did this on my column and this piece disintegrated upon removal. Common from what I hear.

If your horn is going off non stop you know its the plastic spider that goes over the c clip retainer.
