I have a 75 with Dart Little M 400. I'm considering using a dual quad intake. Has anyone tried that or similar combination? Is there clearance issues with the carb height for that length? The heads are Canfield with 2.100 intake and 1.60 exhaust. Thanks for your knowledge/opinion.
I remember reading an article many years ago that compared dual quads, six pack, and single carb setups for power output. The single four barrel was the clear winner. But nothing looks as cool as a dual quads.

A tri power does
But yeah, multi carbs have old school coolness if i could afford them this is one place i would go simple and better and just get fuel injection,

The right answer is a TriPower EFI setup. Three two-barrel throttle bodies on a custom modified Edelbrock Dual Quad manifold with port injection, all run by a FAST XFI 2.05 setup. All under the stock '75 hood.

Considering that C1's had some dual quad options, I would suspect it might fit. BUT, I would check the height difference on carb mounting surface from single carb manifold you have to the manifold you are considering. Then look at the difference in carb heights between what you have and what you are going to run. You might also contact your head manufacturer to see if they raised the intake ports compared to 'stock'. You have a lot of different non-stock items that could affect the overall install height.
I don't want to be a Barney Bummer but any dual quad intake short of a tunnel ram will have no chance feeding a 400 inch engine. The low rise units could barley flow enough air for the 283's they came on......the Edelbrock C36 is almost identicle to the GM unit and is woefully inefficient......it might support 300 horsepower.
The only dual quad intake that has a chance is the Performer RPM dual quad manifold and even it is down compared to a 1x4 Air Gap setup.......I would pass on the 2x4 deal unless you really have to have the looks.
Now a Tunnel Ram on the other hand......will pickup everywhere in the curve.....but it is important to use a 1 to 1 linkage and front to back carbs only on the street.
