Keyless Entry/Power door locks 2018
I've tried searching on this subject and it appears it is definitely possible and not hard to do, but it appears that all material relating to this is either for a) a 78 to 82 that already has power locks, b) has all the pictures gone from the post, or c) is pointing to kits no longer available or different from before.
Has anyone done this install recently on an older C3? I've got a 72 that I'd like to do this to, but was hoping to follow other people's footsteps if possible. Unfortunately, the current "install it like this picture below" posts and then the accompanied photobucket "this picture is missing" dialog are making it tough.

Thanks
Like I have installed the VATS system to a 1978 so the car would not crank without the ignition key having the correct a chip value in it. And with a electric fuel pump in the gas tank. IF someone hot wired it...it would only go as far as the fuel in the bowl of the carb had it it.
So...what you want do is NOT impossible...because all it takes is the wiring schematics and the parts and installing them. Which that alone can be a challenge.
If your car were in my shop and this was being done I would have to get a BCM and the antennas/wiring harnesses/door lock solenoids and so on... so when it as installed...you walk up to the car the door pr doors would automatically unlock....and when you walked away from the car ...they would lock and toot the horn.

I never did a write up but here's the basics on mine
Remote receiver mounted under the dash pad, relays (although not really required on the newer actuators I still like using them) are mounted to the dash brace
I got some actuators off a newer import from the wreckers, they all use pretty much the same mechanism
Installed nut-serts and a grommet on the inspection cover
bullet connectors (replaced with weatherpack next time I have the door off
Mounted
On the pivot linkage I machined a piece to fit over the original but people have used larger fender washers to the same end
Linage hooked
I had to add the second hole in the arm as the actuator travel was slightly shorter than I originally checked (it moves farther but has not power at the very ends)

Sorry I can't give credit where it's due as I don't recall who or where I found those imaged, just ended up in my collection. If I had to guess it'd be 7T2 or DB

Either way...it can be done. Because one way is clearly shown by 'Mosser'.

I added the remote locks as one of those "hey since the door panel is off why not...." things.
Keeps me off the streets I guess
