Never heard of the two that you mentioned, but given how so few motor oils have the sufficient level of ZDPP to be compatible with flat tappet cams, I can see the need for some sort of additive. Along that line, I noticed that the STP bottles now state that they contain the ZDPP additive.....
Same. Mobil 1 0W-40 European Formula which meets BMW, Mercedes, Audi etc oil qualifications. European manufacturers require a MUCH more robust additive package to be an approved oil for their cars........
Does anyone here recommend the use of oil additives like RevX or Archoil Ar9100 to their oil? Will it hurt anything if I do?
I've heard they are good products and have many satisfied customers.
As stated by a few other people here, I would start with an adequate oil in the first place, then use additives.
