Things to do without the body/front clip
Hi guys!
One of the most exiting stages so far on this rebuild! I'll be refitting the body mounts/bolt it to the chassis again. Front clip and doors will be next!
But as it's my first resto I really don't want to refit the body just to find out that I'll have to remove it again.
So, what are things that absolutely positively need to be done with the body off the frame?
The only thing I can think of atm is the front to rear brakeline, although I've heard you can just fit it with the body bolted down, just a bit more fiddely.
For those intrested, you can see the evolution here : http://forum.retro-rides.org/thread/...rollTo=2403729
cheers

Hi,
I'd install all the hard brake lines.
Although the shorter lines can certainly be done with the body in place, there's much better access with the body off.... probably just 1/3rd the work.
Are the engine and transmission mounted in the frame?
How about the rear suspension and differential?
They're all much easier to work on with the body off.
Regards,
Alan
You can go about this far before putting the body back in place.
