How did the OP jump from 450 HP in the thread started on 4/6 to 700 HP on 4/13? Exactly what is the engine build for 700 HP?

Plus, it apparently has a 'brand new engine' in it as a March 25th post 'seems' to indicate?!?

In my '78 I'm running a 500 hp motor plus a 150hp shot of nitrous at the track. I'm using the factory driveshaft and half shafts. I did install solid u-joints all around and a quality ring and pinion gear set. I'm running a beefed up th350. No problems yet. An auto trans is easier on the drive line than a manual.

That scene in LA is a joke and a major bust to boot, what you see on TV isnt real.
Instant jail time and goodbye car, license and being tied up in the system paying lots of money for a long time. BTDT
Maybe youtubers think its cool wait til they actually get a car and go down that path.

The the reason I was asking is cuz I don't know if I want to leave it stock around 4:50 or if I was going to put a 700 American belt to 1200 for nitrous in it but now I know I have to rebuild my whole car if I do that

and the street outlaws did come down here to race but there was so many people the helicopter came all the cops came and no race
