Default Wiper door alignment

This is how much it’s sticking up above the fender. I wonder if something is bent. Any ideas or suggestions so I can correct this? Thanks in advance. I can’t seem to get the passenger side of the wiper door to sit like it’s supposed to. The driver’s side is perfect.

Hi S,
If you could post a photo with the door open so the linkage can be seen it might help someone spot the cause of the misalignment.
Where does the door sit with it fully open?
It's difficult to judge the fit without the piece of trim on the rear of the fender.
Regards,
Alan

Here's the right side linkage with the door off.
Maybe you can spot something.

It's from this point that the door continues up but also moves forward over the wiper bay grill.
Does your door do that?

Here you can see the door has moved forward.

View with the door open. The actuator is not connected. Does it seem to be too high when open?

I figured it out. The door was hitting against the passenger side wiper arm. It’s closing now as it should. Thanks guys.

Hi S,
I'm glad you were able to figure out what was the cause of the miss-fit.

The gap between the forward edge of the wiper door and the rear edge of the wiper bay grill looks pretty close in the closed position.
Is there room to move the grill forward a little bit (even an 1/8th or 3/16th of an inch) without getting the forward edge of the grill too close to the hood?

Although it's nice to have good gaps, too little of a gap can lead to paint damage on a part that moves like the wiper door.

Regards,
Alan

Thanks Alan. I’ll look at it and see how much I can move it.
