I checked out AFR's website, and ordered a catalog. It looks like I'll be going with the aluminum 195cc heads(recomended for 350-400ci engines, I'll be stroking to 383) with the 68cc combustion chambers. :cheers:

 

OK, I meant where can you buy other than direct from the manufacturer? I didn't see them in the Summit catalog. Joe

 

I'm not too sure really. I think you can only order them from the manu. I really haven't seen them anywhere else really. :smash:

 

Buy from AFR's site ... & AFR's site lists AFR distributors. The formatting is poopie but you get the idea.

I have AFR 190 heads, along with an Edelbrock RPM performer (for a Qjet), Comp Cams 268XE cam, Comp Cams 1.6:1 Pro-MAgnum Rockers, Dynomax 1 5/8 in ceramic coated headers and it's stroked to a 383. I

talked with the Tech. Rep at AFR and asked what he recommended, he said I would get more torque down low with the 190s at the sacrifice of a few hp at the top end. I asked the dude who rebuild my engine, he said, "sounds good".
The car dynoed with 420hp, 450 lbs/ft of torque at 5000RPMs at the flywheel.
I guess they were right.
