Depending on who did the work there's probably that much in it. On the other hand recovering that much of an investment may be a totally different story.

I really like C3 restomods, but even a chrome-bumpered one with this powertrain isn't going for $55k... maybe $40k. A '75... low-30s. It's a well-done car, though.
You guys apparently don't know what the motor is .
That 427 has SB2 the older NASCAR heads and intake on it. The engine alone could cost 25 - 30 grand. With all the man hours and the dry sump it might be 10-15 grand installation. Another 5 grand for the tranny and clutch to take on 681 hp
I'm not justifying the 55, but if that is all professionaly done the seller is taking a big loss
It's hard to take the seller seriously if he can't spell TREMEC correctly. He may have spent that much farming out the work to make a cool custom car, but he won't get it back.
